2.5 DICOM push
What is a DICOM push?
DICOM Push, also known as C-STORE, is a service where one system sends (or "pushes") DICOM images/data directly to another system. The sender must be configured with the receiving system’s AE Title, IP address, and port to send data successfully.
Setting Medicalholodeck as a receiver of a DICOM push
-
This can be done by configuring the local node in the Medicalholodeck PACS settings. Fill in client AET and port fields. You can choose a meaningful name for the AET and a port number. Press the save button to apply the settings and check if the server is running.
If the connection fails, it’s likely due to a firewall blocking the port. To fix it, try changing the port or ask your system administrator to open it.
-
Then, go to your PACS server and, depending on the system, either configure a DICOM modality using your local node details or enter local node information through the appropriate settings.
-
Now you can transfer data directly from the PACS server to the Medicalholodeck app. It will appear in the Medical Imaging section of the library.
